Manchu woman's domestic semi-formal robe (pao) in slit tapestry (kesi) with orange ground and design of butterflies, scattered flowers and flower roundels in white, green and various shades of blue silk and gold-wrapped thread; trimmed in navy blue silk embroidered with floral motifs in various shades of blue silk and blue and white silk gimp with repeating geometric pattern.Provenance：Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Edgell to the MFA on March 10, 1971
